South Wales GP Cluster BAME Counselling

South West Cardiff GP Cluster

We are working in partnership with the South West Cardiff GP Cluster, to provide a counselling service to their patients from a Black, Asian or Ethnic Minority background. Counselling is available in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and Bengali. These are the top 5 languages within the cluster, which is one of the most ethnically diverse clusters in Cardiff. We are very proud of our joint working with the NHS and believe this is an example of best practice. Patients can either self-refer or request their GP or ealthcare professional to make the referral on their behalf. You must be registered with a South Wets cluster GP practice.

ESOL Student Counselling

Cardiff & Vale College ESOL Student Counselling

We provide a counselling service in partnership with the wellbeing department at Cardiff & Vale College (CAVC) which is available to ESOL student learners.

The service we provide is culturally and religiously sensitive counselling. Students can feel at ease knowing the service is understanding of their cultural, religious and language needs. Our CAVC counselling clients come from globally diverse cultural backgrounds, and include refugees and asylum seekers, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. If you are an ESOL student at CAVC and would like to access this service, please either speak to your tutor or contact us directly.
