Psychoeducation & Resilience-Based Workshops

We run a number of psychoeducation-based courses, to help people learn effective tools and strategies to better manage their mental health and well-being. Psychoeducation refers to education in mental health.

At CCAWS we want to empower the people in our communities to take control of their own mental health and well-being by giving them the knowledge and skills they need to look after themselves and others.

Our participants develop a better understanding of Mental Health. They are taught information on symptoms and causes and given strategies to cope with and overcome low mental health. This enables our participants to detect and manage symptoms and conditions such as anxiety, stress, and depression.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

The courses we offer are CBT based (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and are delivered by a qualified
therapist.

We have the following courses available:

  • Stress Management
  • Managing Anxiety
  • Developing Self Esteem / Confidence Building
  • Managing Difficult Emotions / Anger

We can also deliver shorter 1-hour workshops on:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Developing Resilience
  • Understanding Grief
